Free Pattern for Crocheted Boho Dreams Shawl

Crocheted Boho Shawl

Crocheted Boho Shawl 1Are you dreaming of long summer days and beautiful summer sunsets? I am! Sunsets here on Maui are gorgeous and breezy. Crocheted Boho Dreams Shawls was designed with a bohemian feel that can be worn over a tank top and jean short but it can be worn with a fancy dress too. In the pattern I use Red Hearts Ombre Yarn and a puff stitch to create color and texture. Alternating rows of double crochet and puff stitch this is a project for any level of crochet. I was also able to make shawl and tassels with only one skein. You can use any worsted weight yarn that you desire, you’ll just need 10 oz. Working in rows this pattern works up quickly and can be made in any color you desire. Crocheted Boho Dreams Shawl would look gorgeous on any occasion, what will you wear with it?

Crocheted Boho Shawl 3I used the end of my skein and small book to make 3 tassels. I wrapped my yarn around the book until desire thickness, pulled yarn under top, tied a tight knot, slipped tassel off book, and cut bottom. Using a separate piece of yarn to wrap and secure top, knotting that piece and tucking it under where I wrapped it.  If you’re new to making tassels, Craft Basics has a good video tutorial. I knotted tassels to 3 corners of the shawl and secured ends by sewing them in.

Now run to mirror, throw on your Boho Dreams Shawl and step back and admire your handy work!
